New Lung Associates is now a team of three transplant pulmonologists providing care to the lung transplant program at Tampa General Hospital. Mark Rolfe, MD, FCCP, Tarik Haddad, MD, FCCP, and Timothy Floreth, MD FCCP bring compassionate and state of the art care to the bedside. Their success can be seen in the program’s numbers. These qualified physicians provide the pulmonary and critical transplant care.

  • Dr Mark RolfeDr. Mark Rolfe is the Medical Director and a UNOS Qualified Transplant Pulmonologist. A graduate of the internal medicine and pulmonary critical care program at the University of Michigan, Dr. Rolfe has been the medical director of this program since its inception. Dr. Rolfe has numerous peer reviewed publications and is a former associate professor at the University of South Florida. In 2008 Dr. Rolfe served as UNOS Region 3 Representative to the National Thoracic Transplant Committee. He has been recognized as one of Tampa’s top pulmonary physicians in 2007 through 2012.

  • Tarik Haddad, MD

    Dr. Tarik Haddad joined New Lung Associates at TGH in October 2008. Dr. Haddad is a graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he completed a dual fellowship in pulmonary and critical care and pulmonary transplant. He is now a UNOS qualified pulmonary transplant physician and a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians. After fellowship, Dr. Haddad initially moved to Pittsburgh, PA to help set up the new lung transplant program at Allegheny General Hospital as medical director prior to joining New Lung Associates. He currently has primary focuses of pulmonary hypertension care and interstitial lung disease.

  • Timothy Floreth, MD

    Dr. Timothy Floreth joined the lung transplant team July 1 2011. He is a graduate of the internal medicine and pulmonary critical care program at the University of Chicago. He also completed lung transplant training and spent the last year doing transplant related research. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
